Dolphins
Swimming with dolphins is on offer in Bermuda and there is a 36 acre botanical garden for nature lovers. Bird-watching is also big, especially in the spring and autumn migrating seasons when flocks head over between the Caribbean and North America.
Spittarl Pond Nature Reserve is a good place to go to watch them or to get more information. If you are feeling energetic you can rent bikes, visit forts or naval dockyards, see a handful of art galleries and museums or gaze out at the wonderful crafts moored at the Bermuda Royal Yacht Club. In Hamilton you can tour the underground crystal caves with their reflective rock pools.
You can eat local dishes like Hop n’ John (basically boiled rice and beans) or Shark Hash. You can wander round the old colonial streets of St Georges, streets with wonderful historic names such as Needle & Thread Alley, Old Maid’s Lane and Featherbed Alley. Or you can do what most holiday makers do in Bermuda. You can relax and get pampered in some of the most comfortable beachside hotels in the world.
